Blogiversary #1 - A Wee Something for All you Pretties...

It's finally here!  My one year 'anniversary'!!

While there are many many things I wish, hope, and dream to get done and turn this blog into, it's pretty amazing to reflect on how much I learned, and how many people I've gotten to know (all my new e-friends!) since I started this up only one year ago.

When I decided it would be fun to start this whole thing up, I quickly discovered that I was getting involved in a whole strange new universe.  I didn't know the difference between a 'post' and a 'page', what the heck a 'gadget' or a 'linky party' was, and I sure as hell was baffled by the thought of HTML.

And yet I persevered!

Little by little I learned some tricks, some tweaks, and took to heart any advice I could get from seasoned bloggers!  And while I am still far from where I'd like to be with my little blog, I can honestly say that I'm happy with where it is at this point.

Yes, I've started pretty slowly... simply because with two teeny ones, I have practically no time to work on the many projects I have stewing in my head!  I have soooo many projects either on the go, or filed in my brain, that I constantly have to put on the backburner.  It definitely gets a little overwhelming at times!!  All you other mom-bloggers out there who have little ones - and who manage to blog regularly, keep a clean house, AND make beautiful things - you are my superheros.  And I'll take ANY advice you have!!

And now on to the show...

To thank you all for all of the support - the shares, pins, follows, and comments - I want to share a little something one lucky reader.

Excuse the squinty eyes - it was suuuper sunny!!

This shoulder bag has designed, assembled, and hand-painted by little old me!  It is completely one-of-a-kind, and sure to be a conversation piece wherever you wear it.

I used to have my Etsy shop stocked with these babies, until I sold most, took the remaining to our local Artisan's Pavilion, and sold the rest.  The response I got for these purses was pretty amazing... and I'm gonna share the FIRST one off the line this season, with ONE OF YOU!!!

The purse measures approximately 14" across, 11" high, and 2.5" deep.  It is made from heavy-duty cotton canvas, and finished with enclosed french seams on the inside for stability and a neat finish.  There is a magnetic snap closure.
This would retail in my Etsy shop for approximately $75.

Liked on Facebook page as well. I love this bag because it speaks to all of us who have the talent to create. I am a hairdresser and also an artist. I would love to stash watercolour and painting supplies in it so I can transport it to various locations to sit in peace and create. :) Beautiful work! Posted by Lindsay Inglis-Clattenburg
