Who Am I?

Hi there!

Welcome, and thanks for checking out my blog!  I hope that something here inspires you, teaches you, or just tickles your fancy in some way.

My name is Kristy.  I'm married to my best friend, and I'm mom to my 3 year old daughter, and my sweet 11 month old baby boy.  We live on the shores of beautiful Manitoulin Island, Ontario (the largest freshwater island in the world!), in a community of about 900 residents.

I'm a lover of vintage items and antiques... nothing makes my heart skip quite like discovering some unique, long-forgotten, but once-loved piece of clothing or furniture!

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been involved in creative pursuits of all types.  Through a combination of having an incredibly patient and talented mother, and my parents having a pretty tight budget, all five of us kids learned to be creative and industrious at a fairly young age.  I still enjoy painting, sewing, baking, knitting, and crafting and constructing things of all sorts.  And don't forget camping, fishing, and wandering the shores of our beautiful beaches!

This blog was created more or less as an outlet for me to document my projects, share ideas, and meet other like-minded people out there.
